About the Job

We pride ourselves on the market leading quality of housing and high level of service we deliver. We’re now recruiting for an experienced Portfolio Manager to join the team to lead our letting, management & customer service operations across our fast-growing property portfolio in Nottingham, Stoke on Trent, Keele and Loughborough. This is an important role leading an established team and an exciting opportunity for a high calibre candidate seeking significant responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

• To manage the letting, management & customer service team for the Nottingham, Stoke on Trent, Keele and Loughborough property portfolio
• To achieve or exceed planned rent income and expenditure targets and budgets
• Prepare operational & financial performance reports
• Manage the transition & integration of new acquisitions into our portfolio management system
• Ensure the appearance & presentation of our properties meets expected high standards
• Develop, manage & motivate our agent network to achieve letting & financial objectives
• Ensure compliance with statutory, industry code & best practice requirements
• Strengthen adherence to existing operational processes & standards
• Organise & manage annual tenant handover process planning and delivery each summer
• Support the implementation and embedding of planned new digital business processes
• Lead performance improvement projects & initiatives working with team members to implement
• Address & resolve escalated issues & complaints in a timely & cost-efficient manner
• Research, monitor & report on market activity in existing and target cities
• To carry out any reasonable request from management

Experience & skills

• Strong leadership & people management skills
• Excellent organisation & time management skills
• Strong budget management credentials & accountability
• Advanced communication & institutional quality reporting skills
• Committed to providing excellent level of customer service from initial contact through to tenancy end
• Able to manage multiple projects running concurrently
• Manage team to enter consistently high-quality information in our management systems
• Strong HMO and/or purpose built student housing sector experience
• ARLA qualified
• Full UK driving licence desirable

Remuneration & Benefits

Role: Portfolio Manager – Nottingham, Stoke on Trent, Keele and Loughborough
Type: Full time, permanent – immediate start date available
Hours: 09.00am – 6.00pm Monday to Friday with ability to work flexible hours (including some weekends
especially during mid-June to mid-August).
Salary: OTE £28,000 per annum DOE and discretionary bonus up to 20% of salary
Location: Field-based in Nottingham and new properties as they are acquired in the region, and also covering Stoke
on Trent, Keele and Loughborough
